Patrick G. Cox

Born in Cape Town and educated at Selborne College in East London, South Africa, I began writing as a technical author and lecturer. It took a while to adjust from that to writing fiction, but its now settled and enjoyable. I retired from a very fulfilling career as firefighter after thirty-six years of soot, heat, blood, sweat, and laughter and indulged myself with starting to write both scifi and historical stories. I was a Licensed Minister in the Church of England and have three adult children of who make me enormously proud and three granddaughters who are absolute darlings.

My other books include A Baltic Affair, Limehouse Boys, Ned Farrier Master Mariner -- Call of the Cape, Harry Heron: Into the Unknown, and four more in the Harry Heron series, a collection of books centered on a trio of shipmates plucked from the gundeck of HMS Spartan during the Napoleonic Wars and thrust into an unknown future. To these I've added a prequel and a sequel to the prequel!

My favourite authors include Douglas Reeman/Alexander Kent, C S Forrester, Sir Terry Pratchett, John Winton, Isaac Asimov, Patrick O'Brien, and Robert A Heinlein.
