In 1865 at the close of the Civil War Union raiders swept through the South plundering and pillaging. The Great War had ended but the looting continued by a few greed crazed groups of raiders. One such group led by a Union colonel known simply as “The Colonel” raided deep into the Southern States with no regard for human life or property. WJ Wallace (Wade Jeremy Wallace) was just a small boy at the time. He witnessed his mother murdered, their farm burned and all the livestock butchered. Not only the farm, but the raiders destroyed the entire town. WJ’s mom had sent him running into woods because she knew what was coming. And he witnessed everything.
