Mike Kerr, a Chicago native, is the author of the three titles in the Legman series, an anthology where the common thread is a protagnoist who is or was a legman reporter, someone who legs out the routine details for the person with the byline. His stories are a mix of mystery, crime and historical fiction with three-dimensional characters who inhabit the neighborhoods during the city’s many brilliant and yet deadly eras.
