Lily Iona MacKenzie is a Canadian-born writer who resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a prolific author, poet, and essayist with a wide range of work published in journals such as The Malahat Review, Other Voices, and The Denver Post. Her writing often combines rich imagery with explorations of identity, memory, and human experience.
MacKenzie has published four novels (Fling!, Curva Peligrosa, Freefall: A Divine Comedy, and The Ripening: A Canadian Girl Grows Up, a sequel to Freefall) and two poetry collections: All This and California Dreaming. These works continue her tradition of creating engaging narratives with deeply human themes. Shanti Arts Publishing recently released her hybrid memoir Dreaming Myself into Old Age: One Woman’s Search for Meaning.
