Kema Shanae

Shakema Haygood is a fiction author born in Bronx, NY, but raised in New Jersey and Mount Vernon, NY. She started off writing poetry and lyrical verses when she was 11. Somewhere along the way, she stopped rhythmically writing, and found her true love; reading. Her love for reading and inspiration from some of her favorite authors created an opportunity for her to pick up her own pen and try her hand at writing a book. She enjoys all genres, and there is nothing that she won’t try. Historic Romance, Paranormal, Erotica, and Urban are just some of her favorites. Shakema now has five books out and is currently working on future projects. When she's not reading or writing, she likes to binge watch her favorite shows. She says there is no time to slow down.
