In Uncommon Destiny (my most popular novel), the protagonists thwart the efforts of an ultra-nationalist group, the Benefactors, who had a stated goal of strengthening the U.S. using shocking methods. Having backed ISIS, the Benefactor's first plot was widely successful, utilizing the group’s degenerate logic. Fortunately, one member of what would eventually become Mason Grant's team, our heroine, was able to block their last attempt in Argentina. Now, as a team secretly funded by our nation's National Security Advisor, they throw out all the rules to stop the Benefactors cold.
